He ¹  leads ²  counselors away stripped ³  and makes judges ⁴  into fools. ⁵ 

“Man, born of woman, ¹  lives but a few days, ²  and they are full of trouble. ³ 

For ¹  it has been hidden from the eyes of every living creature, and from the birds of the sky it has been concealed.

All humanity has seen it; people gaze on it from afar.

You destroy their offspring ¹  from the earth, their descendants ²  from among the human race. ³ 

But I ¹  am a worm, ²  not a man; ³  people insult me and despise me. ⁴ 

The Lord watches ¹  from heaven; he sees all people. ² 

He is the one who forms every human heart, ¹  and takes note of all their actions.
