Before it was sold, ¹  did it not ²  belong to you? And when it was sold, was the money ³  not at your disposal? How have you thought up this deed in your heart? ⁴  You have not lied to people ⁵  but to God!”

If an unbeliever invites you to dinner and you want to go, eat whatever is served without asking questions of conscience.

The intentions of the heart ¹  belong to a man, ²  but the answer of the tongue ³  comes from ⁴  the Lord. ⁵ 

The dice are thrown into the lap, ¹  but their every decision ²  is from the Lord. ³ 

“You have with you the sons of your master, chariots and horses, a fortified city, and weapons. So when this letter arrives, ¹ 

My vineyard, ¹  which belongs to me, ²  is at my disposal alone. ³  The thousand shekels belong to you, O Solomon, and two hundred shekels belong to those who maintain it for its fruit.

Or do you think that I cannot call on my Father, and that he would send me more than twelve legions ¹  of angels right now?

If anyone intends to quarrel about this, we have no other practice, nor do the churches of God.

Jonathan said to David, “The Lord God of Israel is my witness. ¹  I will feel out my father about this time the day after tomorrow. If he is favorably inclined toward David, will I not then send word to you and let you know? ² 

Who entrusted ¹  to him the earth? And who put him over ²  the whole world?

Do you know how God commands them, ¹  how he makes lightning flash in his storm cloud? ² 

Let anyone who has no love for the Lord be accursed. Our Lord, come! ¹ 

“I will grant this people favor with ¹  the Egyptians, so that when ²  you depart you will not leave empty-handed.

(Now the Lord granted the people favor with ¹  the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, respected by Pharaoh’s servants and by the Egyptian people.) ² 

The Lord ¹  gave the people favor ²  in the sight of the Egyptians, and they gave them whatever they wanted, ³  and so they plundered Egypt. ⁴ 

Now what do you have at your disposal? ¹  Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever can be found.”

The priest replied to David, “I don’t have any ordinary bread at my disposal. Only holy bread is available, and then only if your soldiers ¹  have abstained from sexual relations with women.” ² 

He went inside and had a meal. ¹  Then he said, “Dispose of this accursed woman’s corpse. Bury her, for after all, she was a king’s daughter.” ² 

O Lord, may you hear my prayer and be favorably disposed to me! ¹  O God, because of your great loyal love, answer me with your faithful deliverance! ² 

Next I eradicated the three shepherds in one month, ¹  for I ran out of patience with them and, indeed, they detested me as well.
