But if you show prejudice, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as violators. ¹ 

And when he ¹  comes, he will prove the world wrong ²  concerning sin and ³  righteousness and ⁴  judgment –

to execute judgment on ¹  all, and to convict every person ²  of all their thoroughly ungodly deeds ³  that they have committed, ⁴  and of all the harsh words that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” ⁵ 

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.

Who among you can prove me guilty ¹  of any sin? ²  If I am telling you ³  the truth, why don’t you believe me?

But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or uninformed person enters, he will be convicted by all, he will be called to account by all.

in that ¹  our gospel did not come to you merely in words, ²  but in power and in the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction (surely you recall the character we displayed when we came among you to help you). ³ 

But there will be delight ¹  for those who convict ²  the guilty, ³  and a pleasing blessing ⁴  will come on them.

A single witness may not testify ¹  against another person for any trespass or sin that he commits. A matter may be legally established ²  only on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

The faith ¹  you have, keep to yourself before God. Blessed is the one who does not judge himself by what he approves.

The woman said, “Why have you devised something like this against God’s people? When the king speaks in this fashion, he makes himself guilty, for the king has not brought back the one he has banished.

Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, show courage, be strong.

And have mercy on those who waver;

and concerning judgment, ¹  because ²  the ruler of this world ³  has been condemned. ⁴ 

for we live ¹  by faith, not by sight.

“Our law doesn’t condemn ¹  a man unless it first hears from him and learns ²  what he is doing, does it?” ³ 

He must hold firmly to the faithful message as it has been taught, ¹  so that he will be able to give exhortation in such healthy teaching ²  and correct those who speak against it.

If a person commits a sin punishable by death and is executed, and you hang the corpse ¹  on a tree,

I learned long ago that you ordained your rules to last. ¹
