The king ordered a chest to be made and placed outside the gate of the Lord’s temple. ¹ 

All the officials and all the people gladly brought their silver and threw it into the chest until it was full.

They put the ark of the Lord on the cart, along with the chest, the gold mice, and the images of the sores.

Whenever the Levites brought the chest to the royal accountant and they saw there was a lot of silver, the royal scribe and the accountant of the high priest emptied the chest and then took it back to its place. They went through this routine every day and collected a large amount of silver.

When they saw the chest was full of silver, the royal secretary ¹  and the high priest counted the silver that had been brought to the Lord’s temple and bagged it up. ² 

Jehoiada the priest took a chest and drilled a hole in its lid. He placed it on the right side of the altar near the entrance of ¹  the Lord’s temple. The priests who guarded the entrance would put into it all the silver brought to the Lord’s temple.

Then take the ark of the Lord and place it on the cart, and put in a chest beside it the gold objects you are sending to him as a guilt offering. You should then send it on its way.

As for that statue, its head was of fine gold, its chest and arms were of silver, its belly and thighs were of bronze.

and in the midst of the lampstands was one like a son of man. ¹  He was dressed in a robe extending down to his feet and he wore a wide golden belt ²  around his chest.

and the seven angels who had the seven plagues came out of the temple, dressed in clean bright linen, wearing wide golden belts ¹  around their chests.

and put the poles into the rings at the sides of the ark in order to carry the ark with them.

The Levites took down the ark of the Lord and the chest that was with it, which contained the gold objects. They placed them near the big stone. At that time the people of Beth Shemesh offered burnt offerings and made sacrifices to the Lord.

You are to place the ark of the testimony in it and shield the ark with the special curtain.

Can a man hold ¹  fire ²  against his chest ³  without ⁴  burning his clothes?

You are to put the atonement lid on top of the ark, and in the ark you are to put the testimony I am giving you.

They brought ¹  it with the ark of God up from the house of Abinadab on the hill. Ahio was walking in front of the ark,

the ark of the testimony and its poles, and the atonement lid;

Berechiah and Elkanah were guardians ¹  of the ark;

¹ “They are to make an ark ²  of acacia wood – its length is to be three feet nine inches, its width two feet three inches, and its height two feet three inches. ³ 

At that same time the Lord said to me, “Carve out for yourself two stone tablets like the first ones and come up the mountain to me; also make for yourself a wooden ark. ¹
