Now ¹  the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they began to wonder ²  why he was delayed in the holy place. ³ 

Now when the commander ¹  of the temple guard ²  and the chief priests heard this report, ³  they were greatly puzzled concerning it, ⁴  wondering what this could ⁵  be.

While ¹  they were perplexed ²  about this, suddenly ³  two men stood beside them in dazzling ⁴  attire.

The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed ¹  to know which of them he was talking about.

But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. ¹  He bent down ²  and saw only the strips of linen cloth; ³  then he went home, ⁴  wondering ⁵  what had happened. ⁶ 

Silently the man watched her with interest to determine ¹  if the Lord had made his journey successful ²  or not.

So ¹  they began to question one another as to which of them it could possibly be who would do this.

While the people were filled with anticipation ¹  and they all wondered ²  whether perhaps John ³  could be the Christ, ⁴ 

Jesus replied, ¹  “I performed one miracle ²  and you are all amazed. ³ 

Now if you say to yourselves, ¹  ‘How can we tell that a message is not from the Lord?’ ²  –

Now Ehud had escaped while they were delaying. When he passed the carved images, he escaped to Seirah.

I said, “During the night I will remember the song I once sang; I will think very carefully.” I tried to make sense of what was happening. ¹ 

You too will act like drunkards; ¹  you will go into hiding; ²  you too will seek refuge from the enemy.

Then he went up with them into the boat, and the wind ceased. They were completely astonished,

They kept this statement to themselves, discussing what this rising from the dead meant.

But ¹  she was greatly troubled ²  by his words and began to wonder about the meaning of this greeting. ³ 

¹ Then David asked, “Is anyone still left from the family ²  of Saul, so that I may extend kindness to him for the sake of Jonathan?”

because they will lack bread and water. Each one will be terrified, and they will rot for their iniquity. ¹ 

but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” ¹ 

Then ¹  they were all astonished at the mighty power ²  of God.But while the entire crowd ³  was amazed at everything Jesus ⁴  was doing, he said to his disciples,
