You are witnesses ¹  of these things.

Joshua said to the people, “Do you agree to be witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to worship the Lord?” ¹  They replied, “We are witnesses!” ² 

But they did not find anything, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally ¹  two came forward

Violent men perjure themselves, ¹  and falsely accuse me. ² 

This Jesus God raised up, and we are all witnesses of it. ¹ 

You bring new witnesses ¹  against me, and increase your anger against me; relief troops ²  come against me.

Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “Why do we still need witnesses?

You killed ¹  the Originator ²  of life, whom God raised ³  from the dead. To this fact we are witnesses! ⁴ 

At the testimony of two or three witnesses they must be executed. They cannot be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.

I signed the deed of purchase, ¹  sealed it, and had some men serve as witnesses to the purchase. ²  I weighed out the silver for him on a scale.

Do not accept an accusation against an elder unless it can be confirmed by two or three witnesses. ¹ 

Someone who rejected the law of Moses was put to death ¹  without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. ² 

Then I will summon ¹  as my reliable witnesses Uriah the priest and Zechariah son of Jeberekiah.”

And I will grant my two witnesses authority ¹  to prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth.

But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you, so that at the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established. ¹ 

And we are witnesses of these events, ¹  and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey ²  him.”

They brought forward false witnesses who said, “This man does not stop saying things against this holy place ¹  and the law. ² 

This is the third time I am coming to visit ¹  you. By the testimony ²  of two or three witnesses every matter will be established. ³ 

Then the high priest tore his clothes and declared, ¹  “He has blasphemed! Why do we still need witnesses? Now ²  you have heard the blasphemy!

When ¹  they had driven him out of the city, they began to stone him, ²  and the witnesses laid their cloaks ³  at the feet of a young man named Saul.
