¹ “The wings of the ostrich ²  flap with joy, ³  but are they the pinions and plumage of a stork? ⁴ 

Each had four faces; each had four wings and the form of human hands under the wings.

Under the platform their wings were stretched out, each toward the other. Each of the beings also had two wings covering ¹  its body.

They had human hands ¹  under their wings on their four sides. As for the faces and wings of the four of them,

He mounted ¹  a winged angel ²  and flew; he glided ³  on the wings of the wind. ⁴ 

but each had four faces and four wings.

(The cherubim appeared to have the form ¹  of human hands under their wings.)

Their wings were spread out above them; each had two wings touching the wings of one of the other beings on either side and two wings covering their bodies.

The cherubim were spreading their wings ¹  upward, overshadowing the atonement lid with their wings. The cherubim ²  faced each other, ³  looking toward the atonement lid. ⁴ 

I say, ¹  “I wish I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and settle in a safe place!

The land of buzzing wings is as good as dead, ¹  the one beyond the rivers of Cush,

When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings – it was like the sound of rushing waters, or the voice of the Almighty, ¹  or the tumult ²  of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.

He mounted ¹  a winged angel ²  and flew; he glided ³  on the wings of the wind. ⁴ 

If I were to fly away ¹  on the wings of the dawn, ²  and settle down on the other side ³  of the sea,

their wings touched each other; they did not turn as they moved, but went straight ahead. ¹ 

“Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars, ¹  and spreads its wings toward the south?

Protect me as you would protect the pupil of your eye! ¹  Hide me in the shadow of your wings! ² 

I will be a permanent guest in your home; ¹  I will find shelter in the protection of your wings. ²  (Selah)

For you are my deliverer; ¹  under your wings ²  I rejoice.

For the Lord says, “Look! Like an eagle with outspread wings a nation will swoop down on Moab. ¹
