They wandered through the wilderness on a desert road; they found no city in which to live.

they wandered from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another. ¹

נ (Nun) They ¹  wander blindly ²  through the streets, defiled by the blood they shed, ³  while no one dares ⁴  to touch their garments.

My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. My sheep were scattered over the entire face of the earth with no one looking or searching for them.

(the world was not worthy of them); they wandered in deserts and mountains and caves and openings in the earth.

Some have strayed from these and turned away to empty discussion.

For the love of money is the root ¹  of all evils. ²  Some people in reaching for it have strayed from the faith and stabbed themselves with many pains.

For some have already wandered away to follow Satan. ¹

By forsaking the right path they have gone astray, because they followed the way of Balaam son of Bosor, ¹  who loved the wages of unrighteousness, ² 

Before I was afflicted I used to stray off, ¹  but now I keep your instructions. ² 

All of us had wandered off like sheep; each of us had strayed off on his own path, but the Lord caused the sin of all of us to attack him. ¹
