But those who are my enemies for no reason are numerous; ¹  those who hate me without cause outnumber me. ² 

The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew ¹  women are not like the Egyptian women – for the Hebrew women ²  are vigorous; they give birth before the midwife gets to them!” ³ 

His vigorous steps ¹  are restricted, ²  and his own counsel throws him down. ³ 

We grope along the wall like the blind, we grope like those who cannot see; ¹  we stumble at noontime as if it were evening. Though others are strong, we are like dead men. ² 

Sons born during one’s youth are like arrows in a warrior’s hand. ¹ 

Even youths get tired and weary; even strong young men clumsily stumble. ¹ 

His bones ¹  were full of his youthful vigor, ²  but that vigor will lie down with him in the dust.

“Is it to God that a strong man is of benefit? Is it to him that even a wise man is profitable? ¹ 

Turn my eyes away from what is worthless! ¹  Revive me with your word! ² 

Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might and the beginning of my strength, outstanding in dignity, outstanding in power.

Any man who rebels against what you say and does not obey all your commands will be executed. ¹  But ²  be strong and brave!”

That day they killed about ten thousand Moabites ¹  – all strong, capable warriors; not one escaped.

Your wife will be like a fruitful vine ¹  in the inner rooms of your house; your children ²  will be like olive branches, as they sit all around your table.

But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

“Exert every effort ¹  to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

You learned the gospel ¹  from Epaphras, our dear fellow slave ²  – a ³  faithful minister of Christ on our ⁴  behalf –

rooted ¹  and built up in him and firm ²  in your ³  faith just as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

and a sound message that cannot be criticized, so that any opponent will be at a loss, ¹  because he has nothing evil to say about us.

I repeat, ¹  be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic, ²  for I, the Lord your God, am with you in all you do.” ³ 

Today I am still as strong as when Moses sent me out. I can fight and go about my daily activities with the same energy I had then. ¹
