What is your verdict?” ¹  They ²  answered, “He is guilty and deserves ³  death.”

You must do what you are instructed, and the verdict they pronounce to you, without fail. Do not deviate right or left from what they tell you.

So ¹  Pilate ²  decided ³  that their demand should be granted.

You have heard the blasphemy! What is your verdict?” ¹  They all condemned him as deserving death.

You will go to the Levitical priests and the judge in office in those days and seek a solution; they will render a verdict.

All you Israelites, ¹  make a decision here!” ² 

If I am guilty, ¹  why then ²  weary myself ³  in vain? ⁴ 

Offer the prescribed sacrifices ¹  and trust in the Lord! ² 

I said of partying, ¹  “It is folly,” and of self-indulgent pleasure, ²  “It accomplishes nothing!” ³ 

You must then do as they have determined at that place the Lord chooses. Be careful to do just as you are taught.

Well, it just so happened that while your servant was doing this and that, he disappeared.” The king of Israel said to him, “Your punishment is already determined by your own testimony.” ¹ 

He told the judges, “Be careful what you do, ¹  for you are not judging for men, but for the Lord, who will be with you when you make judicial decisions.

And the gift is not like the one who sinned. ¹  For judgment, resulting from the one transgression, ²  led to condemnation, but ³  the gracious gift from the many failures ⁴  led to justification.

When the people heard this troubling word ¹  they mourned; ²  no one put on his ornaments.

He did evil because he was not determined to follow the Lord. ¹ 

I will say to God, ‘Do not condemn ¹  me; tell me ²  why you are contending ³  with me.’

Because ¹  you have closed their ²  minds to understanding, therefore you will not exalt them. ³ 

When he is judged, he will be found ¹  guilty! ²  Then his prayer will be regarded as sinful.

The divine verdict ¹  is in the words ²  of the king, his pronouncements ³  must not act treacherously ⁴  against justice.

“Therefore, the Lord who rules over all ¹  says, ‘You have not listened to what I said. ²
