he who ¹  crushes ²  me with a tempest, and multiplies my wounds for no reason. ³ 

I will hurry off to a place that is safe from the strong wind ¹  and the gale.”

chase them with your gale winds, and terrify ¹  them with your windstorm.

Terrors overwhelm him like a flood; ¹  at night a whirlwind carries him off.

Judgment will come from the Lord who commands armies, ¹  accompanied by thunder, earthquake, and a loud noise, by a strong gale, a windstorm, and a consuming flame of fire.

Just watch! The wrath of the Lord will come like a storm. Like a raging storm it will rage down on the heads of those who are wicked.

Our God approaches and is not silent; ¹  consuming fire goes ahead of him and all around him a storm rages. ² 

But just watch! ¹  The wrath of the Lord will come like a storm! ²  Like a raging storm it will rage down ³  on the heads of those who are wicked.

But ¹  the Lord hurled ²  a powerful ³  wind on the sea. Such a violent ⁴  tempest arose on the sea that ⁵  the ship threatened to break up! ⁶ 

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and a violent ¹  storm continued to batter us, ²  we finally abandoned all hope of being saved. ³ 

Look, the sovereign master ¹  sends a strong, powerful one. ²  With the force of a hailstorm or a destructive windstorm, ³  with the might of a driving, torrential rainstorm, ⁴  he will knock that crown ⁵  to the ground with his hand. ⁶ 

These men ¹  are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm, for whom the utter depths of darkness ²  have been reserved.

For you have not come to something that can be touched, ¹  to a burning fire and darkness and gloom and a whirlwind

A tempest blows out from its chamber, icy cold from the driving winds. ¹ 

So I will set fire to Rabbah’s ¹  city wall; ²  fire ³  will consume her fortresses. War cries will be heard on the day of battle; ⁴  a strong gale will blow on the day of the windstorm. ⁵ 

The Lord will give a mighty shout ¹  and intervene in power, ²  with furious anger and flaming, destructive fire, ³  with a driving rainstorm and hailstones.

He said to them, “Pick me up and throw me into the sea to make the sea quiet down, ¹  because I know it’s my fault you are in this severe storm.”

When the storm ¹  passes through, the wicked are swept away, ²  but the righteous are an everlasting foundation. ³ 

The next day, because we were violently battered by the storm, ¹  they began throwing the cargo overboard, ² 

Each of them ¹  will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from a rainstorm; like streams of water in a dry region and like the shade of a large cliff in a parched land.
