From the sky ¹  the stars ²  fought, from their paths in the heavens ³  they fought against Sisera.

he who commands the sun and ¹  it does not shine ²  and seals up ³  the stars;

when the morning stars ¹  sang ²  in chorus, ³  and all the sons of God ⁴  shouted for joy?

He counts the number of the stars; he names all of them.

Praise him, O sun and moon! Praise him, all you shiny stars! ¹
