You people ¹  judge by outward appearances; ²  I do not judge anyone. ³ 

All those numbered of the camp of Dan are 157,600. They will travel last, under their standards.”

Think about the circumstances of your call, ¹  brothers and sisters. ²  Not many were wise by human standards, ³  not many were powerful, not many were born to a privileged position. ⁴ 

So the Israelites did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses; that is the way ¹  they camped under their standards, and that is the way they traveled, each with his clan and family.

Your enemies roar ¹  in the middle of your sanctuary; ²  they set up their battle flags. ³ 

You must not do injustice in the regulation of measures, whether of length, weight, or volume. ¹ 

For though we live ¹  as human beings, ²  we do not wage war according to human standards, ³ 

Since many ¹  are boasting according to human standards, ²  I too will boast.

Guard against self-deception, each of you. ¹  If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he can become wise.

now I ask that when I am present I may not have to be bold with the confidence that (I expect) I will dare to use against some who consider us to be behaving ¹  according to human standards. ² 

Diverse weights and diverse measures ¹  – the Lord abhors ²  both of them.

The Lord abhors ¹  differing weights, and dishonest scales are wicked. ² 

Therefore when I was planning to do this, I did not do so without thinking about what I was doing, did I? ¹  Or do I make my plans ²  according to mere human standards ³  so that I would be saying ⁴  both “Yes, yes” and “No, no” at the same time?

Now it was for this very purpose ¹  that the gospel was preached to those who are now dead, ²  so that though ³  they were judged in the flesh ⁴  by human standards ⁵  they may live spiritually ⁶  by God’s standards. ⁷ 

So you must keep his ¹  commandments, live according to his standards, ²  and revere him.

So then, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh
