If, however, the scall spreads further ¹  on the skin after his purification,

He conceals ¹  the face of the full moon, ²  shrouding it with his clouds.

If ¹  it is spreading further ²  on the skin, then the priest is to pronounce him unclean. ³  It is an infection.

He spreads out the northern skies ¹  over empty space; ²  he suspends the earth on nothing. ³ 

A perverse person ¹  spreads dissension, and a gossip separates the closest friends. ² 

The one ¹  who flatters ²  his neighbor spreads a net ³  for his steps. ⁴ 

Its underparts ¹  are the sharp points of potsherds, it leaves its mark in the mud like a threshing sledge. ² 

He is the one who sits on the earth’s horizon; ¹  its inhabitants are like grasshoppers before him. ²  He is the one who stretches out the sky like a thin curtain, ³  and spreads it out ⁴  like a pitched tent. ⁵ 

The one who conceals hatred utters lies, ¹  and the one who spreads ²  slander ³  is certainly ⁴  a fool.

See how he scattered ¹  his lightning ²  about him; he has covered the depths ³  of the sea.

He sends the snow that is white like wool; he spreads the frost that is white like ashes. ¹ 

“Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars, ¹  and spreads its wings toward the south?

he alone spreads out the heavens, and treads ¹  on the waves of the sea; ² 

But as soon as she springs up, ¹  she laughs at the horse and its rider.

he plots evil with perverse thoughts ¹  in his heart, he spreads contention ²  at all times.

a false witness who pours out lies, ¹  and a person who spreads discord ²  among family members. ³ 

If, however, the scab is spreading further ¹  on the skin after he has shown himself to the priest for his purification, then he must show himself to the priest a second time.

Moab ¹  will spread out its hands in the middle of it, ²  just as a swimmer spreads his hands to swim; the Lord ³  will bring down Moab’s ⁴  pride as it spreads its hands. ⁵ 

“If a fire breaks out and spreads ¹  to thorn bushes, ²  so that stacked grain or standing grain or the whole field is consumed, the one who started ³  the fire must surely make restitution.

But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession ¹  in Christ ²  and who makes known ³  through us the fragrance that consists of the knowledge of him in every place.
