The powerful will be like ¹  a thread of yarn, their deeds like a spark; both will burn together, and no one will put out the fire.

So too the tongue is a small part of the body, ¹  yet it has great pretensions. ²  Think ³  how small a flame sets a huge forest ablaze.

“Yes, ¹  the lamp ²  of the wicked is extinguished; his flame of fire ³  does not shine.
