They slaughtered the Passover lambs and the priests splashed the blood, ¹  while the Levites skinned the animals.

Next, the one presenting the offering ¹  must skin the burnt offering and cut it into parts,

not a drunkard, not violent, but gentle, not contentious, free from the love of money.

And after my skin has been destroyed, ¹  yet in my flesh ²  I will see God, ³
