For in fact the body is not a single member, but many.

If they were all the same member, where would the body be?

Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a good service for me.

When ¹  Jesus learned of this, he said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She ²  has done a good service for me.

because he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith, and a significant number of people ¹  were brought to the Lord.

It is the same for you. If you do not speak clearly with your tongue, how will anyone know what is being said? For you will be speaking into the air.

Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition ¹  or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.

– though mine too are significant. ¹  If someone thinks he has good reasons to put confidence in human credentials, ²  I have more:

Then ¹  another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon that had seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadem crowns. ²
