Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread that we break a sharing in the body of Christ?

I pray ¹  that the faith you share with us may deepen your understanding of every blessing ²  that belongs to you ³  in Christ. ⁴ 

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping ¹  the saints.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.

My aim is to know him, ¹  to experience the power of his resurrection, to share in his sufferings, ²  and to be like him in his death,

But rejoice in the degree that you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed ¹  you may also rejoice and be glad. ² 

Through the evidence ¹  of this service ²  they will glorify God because of your obedience to your confession in the gospel of Christ and the generosity of your sharing ³  with them and with everyone.

Or is he not surely speaking for our benefit? It was written for us, because the one plowing and threshing ought to work in hope of enjoying the harvest.

For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united in the likeness of his resurrection. ¹ 

If I ate my morsel of bread myself, and did not share any of it with orphans ¹  –

Let them be for yourself ¹  alone, and not for strangers with you. ² 

Contribute to the needs of the saints, pursue hospitality.

because of your participation ¹  in the gospel from the first day until now. ² 

through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice ¹  in the hope of God’s glory.

They were devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, ¹  to the breaking of bread and to prayer. ² 

and they began selling ¹  their property ²  and possessions and distributing the proceeds ³  to everyone, as anyone had need.

Now the one who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with the one who teaches ¹  it.

but emptied himself by taking on the form of a slave, ¹  by looking like other men, ²  and by sharing in human nature. ³ 

Tell them to do good, ¹  to be rich in good deeds, to be generous givers, sharing with others. ² 

Do not neglect hospitality, because through it some have entertained angels without knowing it. ¹
