When the news reaches Egypt, they will be shaken by what has happened to Tyre. ¹ 

through glory and dishonor, through slander and praise; regarded as impostors, ¹  and yet true;

those men who produced the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the Lord.

This ¹  report ²  about Jesus ³  circulated ⁴  throughout ⁵  Judea and all the surrounding country.

¹ “You must not give ²  a false report. ³  Do not make common cause ⁴  with the wicked ⁵  to be a malicious ⁶  witness.

She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your wise sayings and insight ¹  was true!

This ought not to be, ¹  my sons! For the report that I hear circulating among the Lord’s people is not good.

Do not lose your courage or become afraid because of the reports that are heard in the land. For a report will come in one year. Another report will follow it in the next. There will be violence in the land with ruler fighting against ruler.”

And the news of this spread throughout that region. ¹ 

The report they sent to him was written as follows: ¹  “To King Darius: All greetings! ² 

(Now the chief priests and the Pharisees ¹  had given orders that anyone who knew where Jesus ²  was should report it, so that they could arrest ³  him.) ⁴ 

But not all have obeyed the good news, for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” ¹ 

But God was watching over ¹  the elders of Judah, and they were not stopped ²  until a report could be dispatched ³  to Darius and a letter could be sent back concerning this.

For this is what the sovereign master ¹  has told me: “Go, post a guard! He must report what he sees.

Then Joab sent a full battle report to David. ¹ 

Destruction ¹  and Death say, ‘With our ears we have heard a rumor about where it can be found.’ ² 

So ¹  the news ²  about him spread into all areas of the region. ³ 

The men whom Moses sent to investigate the land, who returned and made the whole community murmur against him by producing ¹  an evil report about the land,

This very day I will begin to fill all the people of the earth ¹  with dread and to terrify them when they hear about you. They will shiver and shake in anticipation of your approach.” ²
