So this Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and ¹  the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

The Lord will reign forever and ever!

¹ At the beginning of the reign of Ahasuerus ²  they filed an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem. ³ 

Kings reign by means of me, and potentates ¹  decree ²  righteousness;

For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

They assembled in Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign.

There was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.

Asa passed away ¹  in the forty-first year of his reign.
