All the people noticed this and it pleased them. ¹  In fact, everything the king did pleased all the people.

For God ¹  was pleased to have all his ²  fullness dwell ³  in the Son ⁴ 

But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were cut down in the wilderness.

The Lord ¹  was pleased that Solomon made this request. ²

So his servants told David these things and David agreed ¹  to become the king’s son-in-law. Now the specified time had not yet expired ²
