For none of us lives for himself and none dies for himself.

Their insults are painful ¹  and make me lose heart; ²  I look ³  for sympathy, but receive none, ⁴  for comforters, but find none.

Violence ¹  has grown into a staff that supports wickedness. Not one of them will be left ²  – not from their crowd, not from their wealth, not from their prominence. ³ 

Terror ¹  is coming! They will seek peace, but find none.

But they did not find anything, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally ¹  two came forward

On the seventh day some of the people went out to gather it, but they found nothing.

Samuel continued to grow, and the Lord was with him. None of his prophecies fell to the ground unfulfilled. ¹ 

But now I am going to the one who sent me, ¹  and not one of you is asking me, ‘Where are you going?’ ² 

I said, ¹  “There is no one like you, Lord. ²  You are great. And you are renowned for your power. ³ 

there is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks God.

None of the sins he has committed will be counted ¹  against him. He has done what is just and right; he will certainly live.

None can compare to you among the gods, O Lord! Your exploits are incomparable! ¹ 

None who go in to her will return, ¹  nor will they reach the paths of life. ² 

But let none of you suffer as a murderer or thief or criminal or as a troublemaker. ¹ 

None tire or stumble, they don’t stop to nap or sleep. They don’t loosen their belts, or unstrap their sandals to rest. ¹ 

Who decreed this from the beginning, so we could know? Who announced it ¹  ahead of time, so we could say, ‘He’s correct’? Indeed, none of them decreed it! Indeed, none of them announced it! Indeed, no one heard you say anything!

because ¹  you neglected ²  all my advice, and did not comply ³  with my rebuke,

they did not comply with my advice, they spurned ¹  all my rebuke.

Slaves ¹  rule over us; there is no one to rescue us from their power. ² 

They ¹  said to her, “But ²  none of your relatives bears this name.” ³
