You are to make a grating ¹  for it, a network of bronze, and you are to make on the network four bronze rings on its four corners.

You are to put it under the ledge of the altar below, so that the network will come ¹  halfway up the altar. ² 

The latticework on the tops of the pillars was adorned with ornamental wreaths and chains; the top of each pillar had seven groupings of ornaments. ¹ 

He cast four rings for the four corners of the bronze grating, to provide places for the poles.

With it he made the bases for the door of the tent of meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grating for it, and all the utensils of the altar,

He made ornamental chains ¹  and put them on top of the pillars. He also made one hundred pomegranate-shaped ornaments and arranged them within the chains.
