but he ran off naked, ¹  leaving his linen cloth behind.

The man and his wife were both naked, ¹  but they were not ashamed. ² 

They spend the night naked because they lack clothing; they have no covering against the cold.

They go about naked, without clothing, and go hungry while they carry the sheaves. ¹ 

The underworld ¹  is naked before God; ²  the place of destruction lies uncovered. ³ 

if indeed, after we have put on ¹  our heavenly house, ²  we will not be found naked.

“For you took pledges ¹  from your brothers for no reason, and you stripped the clothing from the naked. ² 

He said, “Naked ¹  I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return there. ²  The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. ³  May the name of the Lord ⁴  be blessed!”

Bravehearted ¹  warriors will run away naked in that day.” The Lord is speaking!

When ¹  did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or naked and clothe you?

The man replied, ¹  “I heard you moving about ²  in the orchard, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.”

And the Lord God ¹  said, “Who told you that you were naked? ²  Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” ³ 

Then the eyes of both of them opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

For this reason I ¹  will mourn and wail; I will walk around barefoot ²  and without my outer garments. ³  I will howl ⁴  like a wild dog, ⁵  and screech ⁶  like an owl. ⁷ 

I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’

I was a stranger and you did not receive me as a guest, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’

And no creature is hidden from God, ¹  but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.

Just as he came forth from his mother's womb, naked will he return as he came, and he will take nothing in his hand that he may carry away from his toil.

I made you plentiful like sprouts in a field; you grew tall and came of age so that you could wear jewelry. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, but you were still naked and bare.

And with all your abominable practices and prostitution you did not remember the days of your youth when you were naked and bare, kicking around in your blood.
