to the one who made the great lights, for his loyal love endures,

and let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” It was so.

Calling for lights, the jailer ¹  rushed in and fell down ²  trembling at the feet of Paul and Silas.

For just like the lightning flashes ¹  and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. ² 

When Aaron sets up the lamps around sundown he is to burn incense on it; it is to be a regular incense offering before the Lord throughout your generations.

God placed the lights ¹  in the expanse of the sky to shine on the earth,

Out of its mouth go flames, ¹  sparks of fire shoot forth!

the pure ¹  lampstand, its lamps, with the lamps set in order, and all its accessories, and oil for the light;

the lampstand for ¹  the light and its accessories, its lamps, and oil for the light;

the pure gold lampstands and their lamps which burned as specified at the entrance to the inner sanctuary,

“No one lights ¹  a lamp ²  and then covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in can see the light. ³ 

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a hidden place ¹  or under a basket, ²  but on a lampstand, so that those who come in can see the light.

You are to bring in the table and set out the things that belong on it; ¹  then you are to bring in the lampstand and set up its lamps.
