Come! Let’s bow down and worship! ¹  Let’s kneel before the Lord, our creator!

He made the camels kneel down by the well ¹  outside the city. It was evening, ²  the time when the women would go out to draw water.

then let my wife turn the millstone ¹  for another man, and may other men have sexual relations with her. ² 

For this reason ¹  I kneel ²  before the Father, ³ 

When Haman saw that Mordecai was not bowing or paying homage to him, he ¹  was filled with rage.

So he brought the men ¹  down to the water. Then the Lord said to Gideon, “Separate those who lap the water as a dog laps from those who kneel to drink.” ² 

They crouch, they bear ¹  their young, they bring forth the offspring they have carried. ² 

Pharaoh ¹  had him ride in the chariot used by his second-in-command, ²  and they cried out before him, “Kneel down!” ³  So he placed him over all the land of Egypt.

As a result, ¹  all the king’s servants who were at the king’s gate were bowing and paying homage to Haman, for the king had so commanded. However, Mordecai did not bow, ²  nor did he pay him homage.

You give me strength for battle; ¹  you make my foes kneel before me. ² 

You give me strength ¹  for battle; you make my foes kneel before me. ² 

Together they bend low and kneel down; they are unable to rescue the images; ¹  they themselves ²  head off into captivity. ³ 

Whoever does not bow down and pay homage will immediately ¹  be thrown into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire!”

And he said to him, “I will give you all these things if you throw yourself to the ground and worship ¹  me.”

But the Lord said to him, ‘Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground. ¹ 

All of the thriving people ¹  of the earth will join the celebration and worship; ²  all those who are descending into the grave ³  will bow before him, including those who cannot preserve their lives. ⁴ 

I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, because of your loyal love and faithfulness, for you have exalted your promise above the entire sky. ¹ 

You will have no place to go, except to kneel with the prisoners, or to fall among those who have been killed. ¹  Despite all this, his anger does not subside, and his hand is ready to strike again. ² 

Those who empty out gold from a purse and weigh out silver on the scale ¹  hire a metalsmith, who makes it into a god. They then bow down and worship it.

I predestine you to die by the sword, ¹  all of you will kneel down at the slaughtering block, ²  because I called to you, and you did not respond, I spoke and you did not listen. You did evil before me; ³  you chose to do what displeases me.”
