As I watched, I noticed ¹  a windstorm ²  coming from the north – an enormous cloud, with lightning flashing, ³  such that bright light ⁴  rimmed it and came from ⁵  it like glowing amber ⁶  from the middle of a fire.

Though he causes us ¹  grief, he then has compassion on us ²  according to the abundance of his loyal kindness. ³

Now godliness combined with contentment brings great profit.

So the Lord said, “The outcry against ¹  Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so blatant ²

a God who is honored ¹  in the great angelic assembly, ²  and more awesome than ³  all who surround him?

He remembered his covenant with them, and relented ¹  because of his great loyal love.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,
