They ¹  said, “Has the Lord only ²  spoken through Moses? Has he not also spoken through us?” ³  And the Lord heard it. ⁴ 

Do not accuse ¹  anyone ²  without legitimate cause, ³  if he has not treated you wrongly.

Therefore what advantage does the Jew have, or what is the value of circumcision?

we are persecuted, but not abandoned; ¹  we are knocked down, ²  but not destroyed,

For God did not call us to impurity but in holiness.

who was formerly useless to you, but is now useful to you ¹  and me.

The Lord is in his holy temple; ¹  the Lord’s throne is in heaven. ²  His eyes ³  watch; ⁴  his eyes ⁵  examine ⁶  all people. ⁷ 

Her prophets coat their messages with whitewash. ¹  They see false visions and announce lying omens for them, saying, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says,’ when the Lord has not spoken.
