Jesus ¹  asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.

So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that he is near, right at the door.

Dear friends, do not be astonished ¹  that a trial by fire is occurring among you, ²  as though something strange were happening to you.

So also you, when you see these things happening, know ¹  that the kingdom of God ²  is near.

When he heard a crowd going by, he asked what was going on.

And day after day Mordecai used to walk back and forth in front of the court of the harem in order to learn how Esther was doing ¹  and what might happen to her.

Peter ¹  went out ²  and followed him; ³  he did not realize that what was happening through the angel was real, ⁴  but thought he was seeing a vision.

Now when the centurion ¹  and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and what took place, they were extremely terrified and said, “Truly this one was God’s Son!”

I sent him ¹  with Onesimus, the faithful and dear brother, who is one of you. ²  They will tell ³  you about everything here.

They say, “How does God know what we do? Is the sovereign one aware of what goes on?” ¹ 

When ¹  the disciples saw this, they became indignant and said, “Why this waste?

So ¹  he called one of the slaves ²  and asked what was happening.

While this was happening, ¹  the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching. ² 

So Esther called for Hathach, one of the king’s eunuchs who had been placed at her service, ¹  and instructed him to find out the cause and reason for Mordecai’s behavior. ² 

However, some of the officials ¹  of Judah heard about what was happening ²  and they rushed up to the Lord’s temple from the royal palace. They set up court ³  at the entrance of the New Gate of the Lord’s temple. ⁴ 

The five leaders of the Philistines watched what was happening and then returned to Ekron on the same day.

When Baasha heard the news, he stopped fortifying ¹  Ramah and settled down in Tirzah.
