Beth Nimrah, and Beth Haran as fortified cities, and constructed pens for their flocks.

The fortified cities included Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,

Zorah, Aijalon, and Hebron. These were the fortified cities in Judah and Benjamin.

He captured the fortified cities of Judah and marched against Jerusalem.

He made upper Beth Horon and lower Beth Horon fortified cities with walls and barred gates, ¹ 

He appointed judges throughout the land and in each of the fortified cities of Judah. ¹ 

for every high tower, for every fortified wall,

Uzziah built and fortified towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, Valley Gate, and at the Angle. ¹ 

All of these cities were fortified by high walls, gates, and locking bars; ¹  in addition there were a great many open villages. ² 

a day of trumpet blasts ¹  and battle cries. ²  Judgment will fall on ³  the fortified cities and the high corner towers.

But ¹  the inhabitants ²  are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. Moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.

He defeated the Philistines as far as Gaza and its territory, from the watchtower to the city fortress. ¹ 

Who will lead me into the fortified city? Who will bring me to Edom? ¹ 

In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah’s reign, King Sennacherib of Assyria marched up against all the fortified cities of Judah and captured them.

These were the ones who served the king, besides those whom the king placed in the fortified cities throughout Judah.

For the fortified city ¹  is left alone; it is a deserted settlement and abandoned like the desert. Calves ²  graze there; they lie down there and eat its branches bare. ³

but we will maintain ourselves in armed readiness ¹  and go before the Israelites until whenever we have brought them to their place. Our descendants will be living in fortified towns as a protection against ²  the inhabitants of the land.
