when its waves ¹  crash ²  and foam, and the mountains shake ³  before the surging sea. ⁴  (Selah)

wild sea waves, ¹  spewing out the foam of ²  their shame; ³  wayward stars ⁴  for whom the utter depths of eternal darkness ⁵  have been reserved.

Samaria and its king will be carried off ¹  like a twig ²  on the surface of the waters.

¹ “You say, ²  ‘He is foam ³  on the face of the waters; ⁴  their portion of the land is cursed so that no one goes to their vineyard. ⁵ 

It leaves a glistening wake behind it; one would think the deep had a head of white hair.

Whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to cast it out, but ¹  they were not able to do so.” ² 

So they brought the boy ¹  to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He ²  fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

A ¹  spirit seizes him, and he suddenly screams; ²  it throws him into convulsions ³  and causes him to foam at the mouth. It hardly ever leaves him alone, torturing ⁴  him severely.
