Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage, and his disposition changed ¹  toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He gave orders ²  to heat the furnace seven times hotter than it was normally heated.

If I say, ¹  ‘I will ²  forget my complaint, I will change my expression ³  and be cheerful,’ ⁴ 

Now this phrase “once more” indicates the removal of what is shaken, that is, of created things, so that what is unshaken may remain.

The whole earth ¹  had a common language and a common vocabulary. ² 

So she grabbed him and kissed him, and with a bold expression ¹  she said to him,

For in him all the fullness of deity lives ¹  in bodily form,

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why is your expression downcast?

If I had publicized these thoughts, ¹  I would have betrayed your loyal followers. ² 

For it is pleasing if ¹  you keep these sayings ²  within you, and ³  they are ready on your lips. ⁴

There are probably many kinds of languages in the world, and none is without meaning.

You see that his faith was working together with his works and his faith was perfected by works.

but with Cain and his offering he was not pleased. ¹  So Cain became very angry, ²  and his expression was downcast. ³ 

“I ¹  am weary ²  of my life; I will complain without restraint; ³  I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

To arouse anger, to take vengeance, I have placed her blood on an exposed rock so that it cannot be covered up.

No one has ever seen God. The only one, ¹  himself God, who is in closest fellowship with ²  the Father, has made God ³  known. ⁴ 

All ¹  of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in other languages ²  as the Spirit enabled them. ³ 

For a man should not have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God. But the woman is the glory of the man.

Now what is the meaning of “he ascended,” except that he also descended ¹  to the lower regions, ²  namely, the earth? ³ 

No one has seen God at any time. ¹  If we love one another, God resides ²  in us, and his love is perfected in us. ³
