When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”

So they did as Jesus directed, ¹  and the people ²  all sat down.

¹ [[And each one departed to his own house.

This saying ¹  is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.

For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

You yourselves are our letter, ¹  written on our hearts, known and read by everyone,

All humanity has seen it; people gaze on it from afar.

Praise the Lord, all you nations! Applaud him, all you foreigners! ² 

What I say to you I say to everyone: Stay alert!”

As ¹  all the people were listening, Jesus ²  said to his disciples,

All ¹  the people saw him walking and praising God,

If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people. ¹ 

Then the people ¹  of Judah and the people of Israel will be gathered together. They will appoint for themselves one leader, ²  and will flourish in the land. ³  Certainly, ⁴  the day of Jezreel will be great!

So they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, the one who was with you on the other side of the Jordan River, ¹  about whom you testified – see, he is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to him!”

saying, “What should we do with these men? For it is plain ¹  to all who live in Jerusalem that a notable miraculous sign ²  has come about through them, ³  and we cannot deny it.

But the Lord struck Pharaoh and his household with severe diseases ¹  because of Sarai, Abram’s wife.

Then Samuel said, “Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to the Lord on your behalf.”

The whole assembly agreed to do this, ¹  for the proposal seemed right to all the people. ² 

Shout out praises to the Lord, all the earth! Break out in a joyful shout and sing!

The Lord reigns! The nations tremble. ²  He sits enthroned above the winged angels; ³  the earth shakes. ⁴
