“Whoever treats his father or his mother disgracefully ¹  must surely be put to death.

The righteous person hates anything false, ¹  but the wicked person acts in shameful disgrace. ² 

So ¹  he sent another slave. They beat this one too, treated him outrageously, and sent him away empty-handed. ² 

Sober up as you should, and stop sinning! For some have no knowledge of God – I say this to your shame!

the men of her city must bring the young woman to the door of her father’s house and stone her to death, for she has done a disgraceful thing ¹  in Israel by behaving like a prostitute while living in her father’s house. In this way you will purge ²  evil from among you.
