to design artistic designs, to work in gold, in silver, and in bronze,

to make artistic designs ¹  for work with gold, with silver, and with bronze,

so that we may not be exploited ¹  by Satan (for we are not ignorant of his schemes).

The plans ¹  of the righteous are just; the counsels of the wicked are deceitful. ² 

He paneled ¹  the main hall ²  with boards made from evergreen trees ³  and plated it with fine gold, decorated with palm trees and chains. ⁴ 

The Lord’s decisions stand forever; his plans abide throughout the ages. ¹ 

Stay with me. Don’t be afraid! Whoever ¹  seeks my life is seeking your life as well. You are secure with me.”

In Christ ¹  we too have been claimed as God’s own possession, ²  since we were predestined according to the one purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will

But we said to him, ‘We are honest men; we are not spies!

Simeon and Levi are brothers, weapons of violence are their knives! ¹ 

He frustrates ¹  the plans ²  of the crafty ³  so that ⁴  their hands cannot accomplish what they had planned! ⁵ 

With him are strength and prudence; ¹  both the one who goes astray ²  and the one who misleads are his.

For he fulfills his decree against me, ¹  and many such things are his plans. ² 

who are always ready to do wrong ¹  or offer a bribe. ² 

Evil men plot against the godly ¹  and viciously attack them. ² 

They mock ¹  and say evil things; ²  they proudly threaten violence. ³ 

They carefully plot ¹  against your people, and make plans to harm ²  the ones you cherish. ³ 

Those who are eager to do ¹  wrong draw near; they are far from your law.

They ¹  rebel against you ²  and act deceitfully; ³  your enemies lie. ⁴ 

who plan ways to harm me. ¹  All day long they stir up conflict. ²
