Then the priest ¹  must remove its entrails by cutting off its tail feathers, ²  and throw them ³  to the east side of the altar into the place of fatty ashes,

The sovereign Lord showed me this: I saw ¹  him making locusts just as the crops planted late ²  were beginning to sprout. (The crops planted late sprout after the royal harvest. ³ )

and you may sow the eighth year and eat from that sixth year’s produce ¹  – old produce. Until you bring in the ninth year’s produce, ²  you may eat old produce.

But other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

But ¹  other seed fell on good soil and grew, ²  and it produced a hundred times as much grain.” ³  As he said this, ⁴  he called out, “The one who has ears to hear had better listen!” ⁵ 

He then ¹  told them a parable: ²  “The land of a certain rich man produced ³  an abundant crop,

I will command my blessing for you in the sixth year so that it may yield ¹  the produce ²  for three years,

But ¹  other seed fell on good soil and produced grain, sprouting and growing; some yielded thirty times as much, some sixty, and some a hundred times.”

My point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously ¹  will also reap generously.

For the ground that has soaked up the rain that frequently falls on ¹  it and yields useful vegetation for those who tend it receives a blessing from God.

When ¹  the plants sprouted and bore grain, then the weeds also appeared.

You must not plant your vineyard with two kinds of seed; otherwise the entire yield, both of the seed you plant and the produce of the vineyard, will be defiled. ¹ 

When you gather in the crop, ¹  give ²  one-fifth of it to Pharaoh, and the rest ³  will be yours for seed for the fields and for you to eat, including those in your households and your little children.”

When the harvest time was near, he sent his slaves ¹  to the tenants to collect his portion of the crop. ² 

Or is he not surely speaking for our benefit? It was written for us, because the one plowing and threshing ought to work in hope of enjoying the harvest.

If you say, ‘What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not sow and gather our produce?’

Other seed fell among the thorns, ¹  and they grew up and choked it, ²  and it did not produce grain.

At harvest time he sent a slave ¹  to the tenants to collect from them ²  his portion of the crop. ³ 

The one who reaps receives pay ¹  and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that the one who sows and the one who reaps can rejoice together.

You may buy it from your fellow citizen according to the number of years since ¹  the last jubilee; he may sell it to you according to the years of produce that are left. ²
