how much less man, who is abominable and corrupt, ¹  who drinks in evil like water! ² 

The earth was ruined ¹  in the sight of ²  God; the earth was filled with violence. ³

I say this ¹  so you will not corrupt yourselves by making an image in the form of any kind of figure. This includes the likeness of a human male or female,

All is pure to those who are pure. But to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

My wounds ¹  are infected and starting to smell, ²  because of my foolish sins. ³ 

Remove perverse speech ¹  from your mouth; ²  keep devious talk far from your lips. ³ 

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” ¹ 

And just as Jannes and Jambres ¹  opposed Moses, so these people – who have warped minds and are disqualified in the faith ²  – also oppose the truth.

But these men do not understand the things they slander, and they are being destroyed by the very things that, like irrational animals, they instinctively comprehend. ¹
