“Brothers, ¹  I can speak confidently ²  to you about our forefather ³  David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, and ¹  I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” ² 

So my heart rejoices and I am happy; ¹  My life is safe. ² 

For he was looking forward to the city with firm foundations, ¹  whose architect and builder is God.

And after about an hour still another insisted, ¹  “Certainly this man was with him, because he too is a Galilean.” ² 

They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or the things they insist on so confidently. ¹ 

Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help. ¹ 

I hate those who serve worthless idols, ¹  but I trust in the Lord.

O Lord who rules over all, ¹  how blessed are those who trust in you! ² 

Do not plot ¹  evil against your neighbor when ²  he dwells by you unsuspectingly.

To you they cried out, and they were saved; in you they trusted and they were not disappointed. ¹ 

An evil person suffers much pain, ¹  but the Lord’s faithfulness overwhelms the one who trusts in him. ² 

In you, O Lord, I have taken shelter! Never let me be humiliated!

I say this about the Lord, my shelter and my stronghold, my God in whom I trust –

He does not fear bad news. He ¹  is confident; he trusts ²  in the Lord.

The heart of her husband has confidence ¹  in her, and he has no lack of gain. ² 

You keep completely safe the people who maintain their faith, for they trust in you. ¹ 

Trust in the Lord from this time forward, ¹  even in Yah, the Lord, an enduring protector! ² 

He was speaking and debating ¹  with the Greek-speaking Jews, ²  but they were trying to kill him.

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance. ¹
