He will not consider ¹  any compensation; ²  he will not be willing, even if you multiply the compensation. ³ 

Then he must bring his guilt offering to the Lord, a flawless ram from the flock, convertible into silver shekels, ¹  for a guilt offering to the priest.

He must bring his guilt offering to the Lord at the entrance of the Meeting Tent, a guilt offering ram, ¹ 

And you may ¹  eat it in any place, you and your household, because it is your wages for your service in the tent of meeting.

It is a guilt offering; he was surely guilty before the Lord.”

“‘This is the law of the guilt offering. It is most holy.

Rise up, O judge of the earth! Pay back the proud!

What can a person give in exchange for his life?

So do not throw away your confidence, because it ¹  has great reward.

or anything about which he swears falsely. ¹  He must restore it in full ²  and add one fifth to it; he must give it to its owner when he is found guilty. ³ 

If he knocks out the tooth of his male servant or his female servant, he will let the servant ¹  go free as compensation for the tooth.

In the place where they slaughter the burnt offering they must slaughter the guilt offering, and the officiating priest ¹  must splash ²  the blood against the altar’s sides.

Then the priest must offer them up in smoke on the altar ¹  as a gift to the Lord. It is a guilt offering.

The law is the same for the sin offering and the guilt offering; ¹  it belongs to the priest who makes atonement with it.

This is the law ¹  for the burnt offering, the grain offering, ²  the sin offering, the guilt offering, the ordination offering, ³  and the peace offering sacrifice,

and the priest is to take the male lamb of the guilt offering and the log of olive oil and wave them ¹  as a wave offering before the Lord.

and so cause them to incur a penalty for guilt ¹  when they eat their holy offerings, ²  for I am the Lord who sanctifies them.’”

(The silver collected in conjunction with reparation offerings and sin offerings was not brought to the Lord’s temple; it belonged to the priests.)

(They gave their word ¹  to send away their wives; their guilt offering was a ram from the flock for their guilt.)

He repays them for what they have done, dispensing angry judgment to his adversaries and punishing his enemies. ¹  He repays the coastlands. ²
