So ¹  he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree ²  to see him, because Jesus ³  was going to pass that way.

Now what is the meaning of “he ascended,” except that he also descended ¹  to the lower regions, ²  namely, the earth? ³ 

He, the very one ¹  who descended, is also the one who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things.

Moses went up the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

When Saul ¹  had finished prophesying, he went to the high place.

After getting into a boat he crossed to the other side and came to his own town. ¹ 

After saying good-bye to them, he went to the mountain to pray.
