by casting ¹  all your cares ²  on him because he cares for you.

Look to the right and see! No one cares about me. ¹  I have nowhere to run; ²  no one is concerned about my life. ³ 

but ¹  worldly cares, the seductiveness of wealth, ²  and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, ³  and it produces nothing.

Because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep, ¹  he runs away. ²

The ¹  seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth ²  choke the word, ³  so it produces nothing.

As for the seed that ¹  fell among thorns, these are the ones who hear, but ²  as they go on their way they are choked ³  by the worries and riches and pleasures of life, ⁴  and their fruit does not mature. ⁵ 

a land the Lord your God looks after. ¹  He is constantly attentive to it ²  from the beginning to the end of the year. ³ 

Just as dreams come when there are many cares, ¹  so ²  the rash vow ³  of a fool occurs ⁴  when there are many words.

For no one has ever hated his own body ¹  but he feeds it and takes care of it, just as Christ also does the church,

“But be on your guard ¹  so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life, and that day close down upon you suddenly like a trap. ² 

She is harsh ¹  with her young, as if they were not hers; she is unconcerned about the uselessness of her labor.

When worries threaten to overwhelm me, ¹  your soothing touch makes me happy. ² 

A righteous person cares for ¹  the life of his animal, but even the most compassionate acts ²  of the wicked are cruel.

The righteous person cares for ¹  the legal rights ²  of the poor; the wicked does not understand such ³  knowledge.

¹  although we could have imposed our weight as apostles of Christ; instead we became ²  little children ³  among you. Like a nursing mother caring for her own children,

Throw your burden ¹  upon the Lord, and he will sustain you. ²  He will never allow the godly to be upended. ³ 

They will lay it waste. It will lie parched ¹  and empty before me. The whole land will be laid waste. But no one living in it will pay any heed. ² 

And I want you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord.

Is it because of your piety ¹  that he rebukes you and goes to judgment with you? ²
