Their swords will pierce ¹  their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

The bows of warriors are shattered, but those who stumble find their strength reinforced.

Uzziah supplied shields, spears, helmets, breastplates, bows, and slingstones for the entire army.

Their arrows are sharpened, and all their bows are prepared. ¹  The hooves of their horses are hard as flint, ²  and their chariot wheels are like a windstorm. ³ 

The Ephraimites ¹  were armed with bows, ²  but they retreated in the day of battle. ³

For you make them retreat ¹  when you shoot your arrows at them. ²
