So I prophesied as I was commanded. There was a sound when I prophesied – I heard ¹  a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to bone.

Through patience ¹  a ruler can be persuaded, ²  and a soft tongue ³  can break a bone. ⁴ 

All Israel joined David at Hebron and said, “Look, we are your very flesh and blood! ¹ 

Then the man said, “This one at last ¹  is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; this one will be called ²  ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of ³  man.” ⁴ 

But extend your hand and strike his bone and his flesh, ¹  and he will no doubt ²  curse you to your face!”

And whoever touches the body of someone killed with a sword in the open fields, ¹  or the body of someone who died of natural causes, ²  or a human bone, or a grave, will be unclean seven days. ³ 

Then Laban said to him, “You are indeed my own flesh and blood.” ¹  So Jacob ²  stayed with him for a month. ³ 

All the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron saying, “Look, we are your very flesh and blood! ¹ 

When the scouts survey ¹  the land and see a human bone, they will place a sign by it, until those assigned to burial duty have buried it ²  in the valley of Hamon-Gog.

For these things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled, “Not a bone of his will be broken.” ¹ 

You are my brothers – my very own flesh and blood! ¹  Why should you delay any further in bringing the king back?’

My bones stick to my skin and my flesh; ¹  I have escaped ²  alive ³  with only the skin of my teeth.

It must be eaten in one house; you must not bring any of the meat outside the house, and you must not break a bone of it.

They must not leave any of it until morning, nor break any of its bones; they must observe it in accordance with every statute of the Passover.

Say to Amasa, ‘Are you not my flesh and blood? ¹  God will punish me severely, ²  if from this time on you are not the commander of my army in place of Joab!’”

Then a ceremonially clean person must take hyssop, dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, on all its furnishings, and on the people who were there, or on the one who touched a bone, or one killed, or one who died, or a grave.

Samson then said, “With the jawbone of a donkey I have left them in heaps; ¹  with the jawbone of a donkey I have struck down a thousand men!”

“Tell ¹  all the leaders of Shechem this: ‘Why would you want ²  to have seventy men, all Jerub-Baal’s sons, ruling over you, when you can have just one ruler? Recall that I am your own flesh and blood.’” ³ 

then ¹  let my arm fall from the shoulder, ²  let my arm be broken off at the socket. ³ 

He happened to see ¹  a solid ²  jawbone of a donkey. He grabbed it ³  and struck down ⁴  a thousand men.
