And whatever you ask in prayer, if you believe, ¹  you will receive.”

for on account of him many of the Jewish people from Jerusalem ¹  were going away and believing in Jesus.

But these ¹  are recorded ²  so that you may believe ³  that Jesus is the Christ, ⁴  the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. ⁵ 

Do we not have the right to the company of a believing wife, like the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Cephas?

But those who have believing masters must not show them less respect ¹  because they are brothers. Instead they are to serve all the more, because those who benefit from their service are believers and dearly loved. ² Teach them and exhort them about these things. ³ 

But I confess this to you, that I worship ¹  the God of our ancestors ²  according to the Way (which they call a sect), believing everything that is according to the law ³  and that is written in the prophets.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, ¹  so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

If a believing woman ¹  has widows in her family, ²  let her help them. The church should not be burdened, so that it may help the widows who are truly in need. ³ 

The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law ¹  or by believing what you heard? ² 

So then those who believe ¹  are blessed along with Abraham the believer.

(For not even his own brothers believed in him.) ¹ 

and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. ¹  Do you believe this?”

Then he said to Thomas, “Put ¹  your finger here, and examine ²  my hands. Extend ³  your hand and put it ⁴  into my side. Do not continue in your unbelief, but believe.” ⁵ 

Does God then give ¹  you the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of the law ²  or by your believing what you heard? ³ 

When he arrived in Jerusalem, ¹  he attempted to associate ²  with the disciples, and they were all afraid of him, because they did not believe ³  that he was a disciple.

You ¹  have not seen him, but you love him. You ²  do not see him now but you believe in him, and so you rejoice ³  with an indescribable and glorious ⁴  joy,

O Lord who rules over all, ¹  how blessed are those who trust in you! ² 

So the Lord said, ¹  “Hear, you nations! Be witnesses and take note of what will happen to these people. ² 

So he came down quickly ¹  and welcomed Jesus ²  joyfully. ³ 

None of the rulers ¹  or the Pharisees have believed in him, have they? ²
