The Lord abhors ¹  dishonest scales, ²  but an accurate weight ³  is his elight.

let him ¹  weigh me with honest ²  scales; then God will discover ³  my integrity.

Who has measured out the waters ¹  in the hollow of his hand, or carefully ²  measured the sky, ³  or carefully weighed ⁴  the soil of the earth, or weighed the mountains in a balance, or the hills on scales? ⁵ 

Honest scales and balances ¹  are from the Lord; all the weights ²  in the bag are his handiwork.

The Lord abhors ¹  differing weights, and dishonest scales are wicked. ² 

he is to calculate the value of the years it was sold, ¹  refund the balance ²  to the man to whom he had sold it, and return to his property.

While ¹  the Pharisees ²  were assembled, Jesus asked them a question: ³ 

Men are nothing but a mere breath; human beings are unreliable. ¹  When they are weighed in the scales, all of them together are lighter than air. ² 

Then ¹  when the Lamb opened the third seal I heard the third living creature saying, “Come!” So ²  I looked, ³  and here came ⁴  a black horse! The ⁵  one who rode it ⁶  had a balance scale ⁷  in his hand.

My life is in continual danger, ¹  but I do not forget your law.

He ¹  was given over ²  because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of ³  our justification. ⁴ 

Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales. He lifts ¹  the coastlands ²  as if they were dust.

For I do not say this so there would be relief for others and suffering for you, but as a matter of equality.

At the present time, your abundance will meet their need, ¹  so that one day their abundance may also meet your need, and thus there may be equality,

Those who empty out gold from a purse and weigh out silver on the scale ¹  hire a metalsmith, who makes it into a god. They then bow down and worship it.

If he has not prospered enough to refund ¹  a balance to him, then what he sold ²  will belong to ³  the one who bought it until the jubilee year, but it must revert ⁴  in the jubilee and the original owner ⁵  may return to his property.
