And the priest must make atonement for the person who sins unintentionally – when he sins unintentionally before the Lord – to make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.

as well as one goat for a purification offering, to make atonement for you.

as well as one male goat to make an atonement for you.

with one male goat for a purification offering to make an atonement for you;

and he is to purify ¹  the Most Holy Place, ²  he is to purify the Meeting Tent and the altar, ³  and he is to make atonement for ⁴  the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

Every day you are to prepare a bull for a purification offering ¹  for atonement. ²  You are to purge ³  the altar by making atonement ⁴  for it, and you are to anoint it to set it apart as holy.

for the life of every living thing ¹  is in the blood. ²  So I myself have assigned it to you ³  on the altar to make atonement for your lives, for the blood makes atonement by means of the life. ⁴ 

You must not do any work on this particular day, ¹  because it is a day of atonement to make atonement for yourselves ²  before the Lord your God.

What has been done ¹  on this day the Lord has commanded to be done ²  to make atonement for you.

You are to receive the atonement money ¹  from the Israelites and give it for the service ²  of the tent of meeting. It will be a memorial ³  for the Israelites before the Lord, to make atonement ⁴  for your lives.”

For seven days they will make atonement for the altar and cleanse it, so they will consecrate it. ¹ 

Aaron is to make atonement on its horns once in the year with some of the blood of the sin offering for atonement; ¹  once in the year ²  he is to make atonement on it throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord.” ³ 

He must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted for him to make atonement ¹  on his behalf.

So the priest will make atonement ¹  on his behalf before the Lord and he will be forgiven ²  for whatever he has done to become guilty.” ³ 

The law is the same for the sin offering and the guilt offering; ¹  it belongs to the priest who makes atonement with it.

and the priest is to offer ¹  the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. So the priest is to make atonement for him and he will be clean.

and he is to send the live bird away outside the city ¹  into the open countryside. So he is to make atonement for the house and it will be clean.

Then Aaron is to present the sin offering bull which is for himself and is to make atonement on behalf of himself and his household.

for on this day atonement is to be made for you to cleanse you from all your sins; you must be clean before the Lord. ¹
