They ¹  came to a place called Golgotha ²  (which means “Place of the Skull”) ³ 

They brought Jesus ¹  to a place called Golgotha ²  (which is translated, “Place of the Skull”). ³ 

a woman threw an upper millstone ¹  down on his ²  head and shattered his skull.

But when they went to bury her, they found nothing left but ¹  the skull, feet, and palms of the hands.

and carrying his own cross ¹  he went out to the place called “The Place of the Skull” ²  (called in Aramaic ³  Golgotha). ⁴ 

So ¹  when they came to the place that is called “The Skull,” ²  they crucified ³  him there, along with the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.

He becomes the victim of his own destructive plans ¹  and the violence he intended for others falls on his own head. ² 

Of Gad he said: Blessed be the one who enlarges Gad. Like a lioness he will dwell; he will tear at an arm – indeed, a scalp. ¹ 

They placed his armor in the temple of their gods ¹  and hung his head in the temple of Dagon.

In the shadows of the walls of Heshbon those trying to escape will stand helpless. For a fire will burst forth from Heshbon. Flames will shoot out from the former territory of Sihon. They will burn the foreheads of the people of Moab, the skulls of those war-loving people. ¹
