The mountain of Bashan ¹  is a towering mountain; ²  the mountain of Bashan is a mountain with many peaks. ³ 

Their territory started at ¹  Mahanaim and encompassed all Bashan, the whole realm of King Og of Bashan, including all sixty cities in Havvoth Jair ²  in Bashan.

all the cities of the plateau, all of Gilead and Bashan as far as Salecah ¹  and Edrei, ²  cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

Of Dan he said: Dan is a lion’s cub; he will leap forth from Bashan. ¹ 

The descendants of Gad lived near them in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah.

They included Joel the leader, Shapham the second in command, Janai, and Shaphat in Bashan.

Many bulls ¹  surround me; powerful bulls of Bashan ²  hem me in.

Og, king of Bashan, for his loyal love endures,

Then they turned and went up by the road to Bashan. And King Og of Bashan and all his forces ¹  marched out against them to do battle at Edrei.

Next we set out on ¹  the route to Bashan, ²  but King Og of Bashan and his whole army ³  came out to meet us in battle at Edrei. ⁴ 

The Lord says, “I will retrieve them ¹  from Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea,

for all the cedars of Lebanon, that are so high and mighty, for all the oaks of Bashan; ¹ 

This took place after the defeat ¹  of King Sihon ²  of the Amorites, whose capital was ³  in Heshbon, ⁴  and King Og of Bashan, whose capital was ⁵  in Ashtaroth, ⁶  specifically in Edrei. ⁷ 

These cities are Bezer, in the desert plateau, for the Reubenites; Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan for the Manassehites.

When you came to this place King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan came out to make war and we defeated them.

Their territory also included ¹  Gilead, Geshurite and Maacathite territory, all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah –

Manasseh was allotted ten shares of land, ¹  in addition to the land of Gilead and Bashan east of the Jordan,
