I will break your strong pride and make your sky like iron and your land like bronze.

If the person is from sixty years old and older, if he is a male the conversion value is fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

Of Joseph he said: May the Lord bless his land with the harvest produced by the sky, ¹  by the dew, and by the depths crouching beneath;

So they ran and brought him from there. When he took his position among the people, he stood head and shoulders above them all.

The cherubs’ wings extended over the place where the ark sat; the cherubs overshadowed the ark and its poles. ¹ 

He is secure at all times. ¹  He has no regard for your commands; ²  he disdains all his enemies. ³ 

“Ask for a confirming sign from the Lord your God. You can even ask for something miraculous.” ¹ 

I will darken all the lights in the sky over you, and I will darken your land, declares the sovereign Lord.

One person regards one day holier than other days, and another regards them all alike. ¹  Each must be fully convinced in his own mind.

Now to him who by the power that is working within us ¹  is able to do far beyond ²  all that we ask or think,

For you are a people holy ¹  to the Lord your God. He ²  has chosen you to be his people, prized ³  above all others on the face of the earth.

Why are you ¹  scorning my sacrifice and my offering that I commanded for my dwelling place? ²  You have honored your sons more than you have me by having made yourselves fat from the best parts of all the offerings of my people Israel.’

Hezekiah prayed before the Lord: “Lord God of Israel, who is enthroned on the cherubs! ¹  You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the sky ²  and the earth.

The second choir was proceeding ¹  in the opposite direction. I followed them, along with half the people, on top of the wall, past the Tower of the Ovens to the Broad Wall,

“O Lord who commands armies, O God of Israel, who is enthroned on the cherubim! ¹  You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the sky ²  and the earth.

Its boughs were strong, fit ¹  for rulers’ scepters; it reached up into the clouds. It stood out because of its height and its many branches. ² 

even because of the extraordinary character of the revelations. Therefore, ¹  so that I would not become arrogant, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to trouble ²  me – so that I would not become arrogant. ³ 

Everyone who crosses over to those numbered, from twenty years old and up, is to pay an offering to the Lord.

But when the cloud was lifted up ¹  from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out ²  on all their journeys;

(Now the man Moses was very humble, ¹  more so than any man on the face of the earth.)
