What should you do then, brothers and sisters? ¹  When you come together, each one has a song, has a lesson, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all these things be done for the strengthening of the church.

But I have this against you: You tolerate that ¹  woman ²  Jezebel, ³  who calls herself a prophetess, and by her teaching deceives ⁴  my servants ⁵  to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. ⁶ 

who teaches us ¹  more than ²  the wild animals of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of the sky?’

Is it at your command ¹  that the eagle soars, and builds its nest on high?

I will sing a song that imparts wisdom; I will make insightful observations about the past. ¹ 

I will guide you ¹  in the way of wisdom and I will lead you in upright paths. ² 

Train ¹  a child ²  in the way that he should go, ³  and when he is old he will not turn from it. ⁴ 

So that ¹  your confidence may be in the Lord, I am making them known to you today ²  – even you.

All your children will be followers of the Lord, and your children will enjoy great prosperity. ¹ 

When ¹  he saw the crowds, he went up the mountain. ²  After he sat down his disciples came to him.

Jesus ¹  went out again by the sea. The whole crowd came to him, and he taught them.

So ¹  with many parables like these, he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear.

So Jesus replied, ¹  “My teaching is not from me, but from the one who sent me. ² 

an educator of the senseless, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the essential features of knowledge and of the truth –

So then, brothers and sisters, ¹  be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid anyone from speaking in tongues. ² 

But if I build up again those things I once destroyed, ¹  I demonstrate that I am one who breaks God’s law. ² 

You, however, ¹  have followed my teaching, my ²  way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my endurance,

Slaves ¹  are to be subject to their own masters in everything, ²  to do what is wanted and not talk back,

So he humbled you by making you hungry and then feeding you with unfamiliar manna. ¹  He did this to teach you ²  that humankind ³  cannot live by bread ⁴  alone, but also by everything that comes from the Lord’s mouth. ⁵ 

Then the men of the garrison said to Jonathan and his armor bearer, “Come on up to us so we can teach you a thing or two!” ¹  Then Jonathan said to his armor bearer, “Come up behind me, for the Lord has given ²  them into the hand of Israel!”
